Miracle Heidi

REVIEW: This book is an amazing true story of believing the unseen rather than the seen. This is a book suitable for all ages, although most would not understand it until they have been taken through a struggle where God was the only thing left to lean on. The book is written by a mother whose daughter is born with a heart six times the normal size, after God repeatedly told her (the mother) that the baby she was carrying was perfect, a masterpiece. The mother continues to hold on to the promise that her baby will live and not die while the doctors repeatedly explain that this child is going to die. A beautiful down to earth story, this book is about a struggle and a God that is big enough and loving enough to come through on what He has promised. It is definitely worth reading, especially if you need encouragement to continue to believe the unseen, when all that is seen points to exactly the opposite of what God says. If you are the type who cries through books or movies, you will cry through this whole book, and cheer at the end when God reveals how perfect His plans are. There is some odd spiritual warfare stuff that is done in the book that I had never heard of or had heard was slightly kooky, but this book has made me want to research it for myself. Don't be scared away by the slightly outdated cover; if God gives you the time, read this book.
